Appeals, warnings, mutes, kicks, and bans

PigBot records numbered moderation cases and gives staff tools for warnings, notes, Discord timeouts, kicks, and bans. PigBot does not decide whether its own moderation action was fair and cannot overturn one through /ask.

For a ban or mute review, use /ticket open and choose Ban or mute appeal. Staff review appeals; the model summarizing this page has not been appointed to the bench.

How do I appeal a ban or mute?

In Discord, run /ticket open, choose Ban or mute appeal, and explain what you want reviewed. Include the Discord or Minecraft name involved, whether the action was in Discord or in game, when it happened, what reason you were given, and any case number or useful evidence you have.

Be honest about what happened and separate facts from guesses. An appeal is a request for staff review, not a command that automatically removes a punishment. PigBot creates the private channel and keeps the case record; a person makes the decision.

Can I appeal a warning, kick, note, or other staff action?

The default ticket category specifically names ban and mute appeals. For a warning, kick, or another moderation concern, use /ticket open and choose Question, Something else, or the closest category available. State what action you want reviewed and why.

Staff notes are internal records and may not have been sent to the member. This wiki does not promise access to another person's case history or to internal staff discussion. Private moderation records do not become public collectibles because somebody completed the ticket form.

What should I include in an appeal?

A useful appeal contains:

the affected Discord and Minecraft names;
the action being appealed and where it occurred;
the approximate date and time;
the reason staff gave, quoted accurately;
your account of what happened;
relevant screenshots, message links, or case number;
what outcome you are requesting.

Do not edit screenshots to improve the plot or ask friends to pile into the ticket. Additional evidence helps; an audience changes the genre without changing the facts.

Can my friend appeal for me?

When possible, the person whose account was punished should open the appeal. That gives staff the clearest identity and a private place to discuss the case. If the person cannot access the Discord or ticket system, ask staff through one ticket what alternative they accept.

Do not open multiple appeals through friends or alternate accounts. The player wiki does not promise that a third party can receive private case details, and a small parade of duplicate tickets is not additional evidence.

How long does an appeal take?

The player wiki does not promise an appeal response time or decision deadline. Staff may need to review case history, messages, game evidence, and previous actions before replying.

Keep questions and new evidence in the original ticket. PigBot allows one open ticket per person, and opening duplicates does not divide the work through the miracle of mitosis. If circumstances change, add a concise update to the existing channel.

Can PigBot or Claude Haiku approve my appeal?

No. /ask and public PigBot mentions retrieve wiki excerpts and let Claude Haiku summarize them. The answer model has no moderation tools, cannot inspect private case history, and cannot change a warning, timeout, kick, or ban.

Only staff can review and decide an appeal. A generated answer that sounds certain is still documentation help, not a ruling. Use /ticket open for the human review; cross-examining the autocomplete remains legally unproductive.

Will staff tell me what happened to another player?

The player wiki does not promise public details about another member's warning, case history, appeal, or punishment. Staff may acknowledge a report without sharing private moderation records or the final action taken.

Report what you observed and let staff investigate. A lack of public detail does not prove that nothing happened, just as a dramatic chat rumour does not prove that everything happened.
