Lost items, missing progress, and rollbacks

Lost items, missing progress, and rollbacks

ChoiceCraft does not document an automatic item-restoration command or a guarantee that every loss will be reimbursed. Staff must investigate losses caused by griefing, theft, lag, crashes, bugs, or possible rollbacks before deciding what can be done.

Use /ticket open, choose the closest category, and preserve the evidence. Asking for an investigation is reasonable; presenting staff with an invoice for one hundred emotionally significant diamond blocks is less conclusive.

Is keepInventory on, and who can take my death drops on Survival?

Survival does not use keep-inventory: items drop where you died. Those death drops are reserved for you, so other players cannot pick them up unless you use /unlockdrops. Unlocking does not recover or preserve anything; it allows other players to take your drops, and that permission stays open until you die again.

Ordinary item entities despawn after about five minutes while the area is loaded. Drop protection controls who may pick them up, not how long they exist, so return promptly rather than assuming protected items wait forever.

Return to the death location if it is safe. If the drops are missing because of a possible bug, theft, restart, or other unusual event, open /ticket open and choose Bug report, Griefing or stolen items, or the closest category. Include the approximate time, coordinates, cause of death, and missing items.

The wiki does not promise replacement for an ordinary death or expired drops. Staff need the actual circumstances, not merely the tragic news that lava remains opposed to enchanted equipment.

My items were stolen or my base was griefed

Open /ticket open, choose Griefing or stolen items, select Survival or SkyBlock, and describe what was taken or changed. Include your Minecraft name, other names involved, approximate time, coordinates, and screenshots when they show something useful.

Avoid rebuilding, moving the remaining containers, or covering the area before staff investigate. Continuing to play elsewhere is fine; changing the scene makes the original event harder to examine. "The crater used to be a house" is helpful context but an inefficient preservation format.

Did lag, a crash, restart, or rollback delete my progress?

Run /status in Discord first to see whether the configured servers answer. A server being offline does not by itself prove that a rollback, wipe, or data loss occurred. Wait for it to return, reconnect, and check the correct server before assuming the world has eaten Tuesday.

If items, money, island progress, skills, or a build remain missing, open /ticket open under Lag or performance, Bug report, or the closest category. Include the last time the progress was present, the first time you noticed it missing, the server, location, and exact error or disconnect message.

The wiki contains no automatic rollback or reimbursement promise. Staff must compare the report with whatever evidence is available.

I dropped, sold, traded, or deleted something by mistake

The player wiki does not promise restoration for accidental drops, sales, trades, payments, deletions, abandoned claims, or other actions the player confirmed. Some operations may be irreversible even when the mistake is genuine.

If the loss is important, stop repeating the action and open /ticket open with the closest category. Include exactly what command or menu you used, the server, the time, the item or amount, and the other player if a trade was involved. Staff can then decide whether investigation or recovery is possible.

Do not create replacement evidence by reenacting the mistake. The sequel usually has the same ending and twice the missing inventory.

What evidence helps with a lost-item report?

A useful lost-item, rollback, grief, or theft ticket includes:

  • your Minecraft name and the affected server;
  • the approximate date, time, and time zone;
  • coordinates, island name, claim, or another precise location;
  • the item names, quantities, coins, or progress affected;
  • what happened immediately before and after the loss;
  • exact errors and relevant screenshots.

State what you know and label guesses as guesses. Do not post passwords, recovery codes, full payment-card details, or unrelated private conversations. Staff need a trail, not your entire digital autobiography.

Does a backup guarantee my items can be restored?

No player-facing ChoiceCraft document promises that a backup exists for every inventory, block, transaction, or moment, or that any backup can be restored for one player's loss. PigBot's own database backups protect bot records; they are not a personal Minecraft undo button.

Staff decide whether recovery is technically possible and appropriate after a ticket is investigated. Do not describe an operator backup, server restart, or the word "rollback" as a guaranteed item-restoration service. Backups are safety equipment, not a catalogue from which one orders last Thursday.
